Remington 1858 New Model Army MARTIALLY-INSPECTED single action six shot revolver in .44 percussion caliber w/ an 8" octagon barrel displays an even, yet heavily cleaned surface to the gun’s parts plus a brass trigger guard. The two piece hardwood grips are near fine & show remnants of an Inspector’s cartouche on the bottom left grip panel. The barrel address is partially visible; the inspector proofs are visible on both rear side flats of the barrel, on the rear rounds of the cylinder, on the front of the trigger guard & on the bottom barrel flat in front of the rammer retainer. The action is strong & crisp and the bore shows strong rifling w/ moderate erosion throughout. (Pre-98; No FFL Required).
