Winchester Model 42 slide action takedown shotgun, .410 gauge, 26" barrel with a 3" chamber and a Full choke, blue finish, smooth walnut two-piece pistol grip stock, steel bead front sight, clear factory markings with sharp Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and receiver. Mfg. in 1933, the shotgun is in near fine overall condition, retaining 70-75% thinning finish with wear at the muzzle, showing scattered pinprick pitting along the barrel. The receiver shows edge wear and thinning finish with light surface erosion. The stock is in fine condition with minor indentations and storage marks. The buttstock ends with a Winchester checkered hard-rubber butt plate, providing a 14" LOP. The bore is fine with light erosion and the action functions smoothly on this desirable, early Model 42.
