U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1873 single shot saddlering carbine in .45-70 caliber w/ a 24" barrel displays a dark brown uncleaned patina to the gun’s barrel assembly plus the frame, trapdoor, side plate & misc small parts show silver toning. The hardwood stock is very good to near fine w/ pleasing grain patterns, no tools in the butt trap & markings of a "9" on the right side of the butt stock/top of butt stock & "H" over "53" on the top rear of the butt stock area. Markings are sharp, action crisp & the bore is fair w/ partially visible rifling & scattered erosion. (Pre-98; No FFL Required).
