Unique Winchester 1890 slide action, 23" Remington barrel, marked .22 Rem Sp cal., blue finish, two-piece walnut stock with 12-rib fore end and replacement straight grip buttstock, 3/4-length magazine, dovetailed blade front sight with the rear removed and dovetail filled with a blank, reblued finish retaining 90-92% toning finish with edge wear and scattered surface erosion, a period aperture sight has been added at the tang. The stock is in fine condition with sharp checkering detail. The buttstock ends with a checkered hard-rubber butt plate, providing a 13.25" LOP. The bore is fine with well-defined rifling and the action functions smoothly. A unique gunsmith project using parts from several different Winchester models with a cut-down Remington barrel. Should be a good shooter. The lot includes the rear sight without an elevator. (C&R).
