Thompson Center Arms black powder percussion plains rifle, .45 cal., 28" octagon barrel, blue and color case hardened finish, smooth walnut one-piece straight grip stock with brass hardware, nosecap, full-length brass tipped hardwood ramrod, brass pipes, exaggerated trigger guard, patchbox, double triggers, engraved side plate, dovetailed blade front and adjustable U notch rear sights, clear factory markings. The rifle is in fine overall condition, retaining 95-96% thinning finish with edge wear, scratches and wear at the muzzle. The side plate and hammer display muted color case hardened finish with attractive relief engraving. The stock is in fine condition with indentations and impressions. The buttstock has a brass patchbox on the right side with a jag and ends with a smooth brass crescent butt plate, providing a 14.75" LOP to the front trigger. The bore is fine with well-defined rifling. The action functions well. (Pre-98; No FFL Required).
