Remington Rand Model 1911-A1 U.S. Army British-proofed semi-auto pistol in .45 caliber w/ a 5" barrel displays ~95% gray parkerized finish to the gun’s parts. The checkered two-piece brown hard-rubber grips are excellent. Markings/proofs are crisp including an "FJA" & "P" proof on the upper left side of the front grip strap plus a "7" on the front trigger guard leg/"V" proof on the right forward grip strap/"I" on the rear strap area & several British proofs on the barrel including "Crown" over "BNP"; .45" .900" over "7 TONS PER (SQUARE "). The action is crisp, bore/rifling are excellent. Comes w/ a fine condition later-made craft 2 piece box. (C&R).
