Model: SAA

Serial #: C03203/C05890

Caliber: .45 Colt

Custom Cimarron/Uberti SAA revolvers, .45 Colt cal., 4.75" barrels, blue finish, punch dot/scroll engraved, gold dragon inlaid ebony two-piece grips, blade fronts and fixed U notch rear sights, bullseye ejector heads clear factory markings, marked "A. UBERTI-ITALY" on the underside of the barrels. The lot includes an unmarked handtooled leather double rig with two hand tooled double-loop holsters, cartridge loops and silver-tone belt buckle in fine condition with tight stitching. The revolvers are both in fine overall condition, retaining 90%-95% thinning finish with holster wear at the muzzle, thinning finish on the ejector rod housing and light rubs along the barrels. The cylinders show leading edge wear, scrapes, scratches and an index line at the rear. The frame shows modest edge wear and handling marks. The straps and trigger guard show light edge wear, associated with carry and use. Both revolvers are magnificently engraved in the Gustave Young style of scroll and punch dot. The grips are in fine condition with gold inlaid two-headed snakes on all four panels. The grips show wear and chips to the finish with a good fit. The bores are fine with well-defined rifling. The revolvers have had an action job and function smoothly, locking securely. These revolvers and double gun rig were used by legendary actor Gene Hackman in the 1995 western "The Quick and the Dead", starring Hackman, Sharon Stone, Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio. Our consignor purchased the rig directly from the Hackman estate. A rare opportunity to purchase movie worn gear used by a Hollywood icon. (Modern).
