Custom Mauser 98 bolt action rifle, .30-06 cal., 22" barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut one-piece Monte Carlo stock with an ebony fore end tip, grip cap, sling swivels and period leather sling, no sights, flag safety, legible factory markings with partial Waffenamt on the right side of the receiver and Heer mark on the left side. The rifle is topped with two-piece bases, rings and Japanese 3-9 x 32 variable power rifle scope, providing clear, bright optics. The rifle is in fine overall condition as professionally refinished, retaining 90-95% of an old quality refinish with wear at the muzzle and marks along the barrel. The bottom metal shows thinning finish and edge wear. The stock is in very good condition with dents, impressions and scrapes consistent with field use. The buttstock ends with a Pachmayr solid rubber recoil pad, providing a 13.25" LOP. The bore is fine with well-defined rifling. The action functions smoothly and locks up securely. (C&R).
