Scarce Marlin Model 336T Texan lever action saddle ring carbine, .44 Mag cal., 20" barrel w/ full-length magazine, blue finish, smooth walnut two-piece straight grip stock with Marlin "Bullseye" in the underside of the butt, brass saddle ring, ramped brass bead front and standard U notch rear sights, receiver drilled and tapped with holes filled, gold trigger, clear factory markings with a sharp Marlin "JM" proof on the right side of the barrel at the breech. Mfg. in 1967, the carbine is in fine overall condition, retaining 96-97% toning finish with light wear at the muzzle, light surface erosion and minor marks. The receiver shows edge wear and scrapes. The stock is in fine condition with indentations and impressions. The sling eye has been removed and replaced with a screw in the underside of the butt. The buttstock ends with a Marlin checkered plastic butt plate, providing a 13.5" LOP. The bore is fine with light erosion and some frosting in the grooves, displaying well-defined rifling. The action functions smoothly and locks up securely. The Texan in .44 Mag was mfg. from 1965-67 with total production of 13,895 carbines. (C&R).
